These bookends have a brush polished finish, this is also known as a dull polished finish. They are made from 304 stainless steel (A2) and will last a life time. They are super strong and will hold cook books up with no problem. They act as a cantilever, with one side of the bookend being slid under the books for counter balance. The heavier the books, the more secure the bookend.
The outer face is brush finished and the inner face is a 2b finish. The inner face may have writing on as shown in the picture. This writing is the cast number and grade of the material. There will not be writing on the polished face.
