This is a wonderful classically sixties Mod dress by Rudi Gernreich for Empire House. The dress is half solid carnation pink and half pink and white stripes. It zips up in back and is fully lined. Darts at the bust. As shown in the last photo this dress was made in Hong Kong.
Condition: Structurally looks great! No tears, holes, stains etc. Dress needs to be drycleaned. I don’t have a dry cleaner I trust to clean any of my vintage at the moment so I am selling as is. There is yellowing around the back of the neck on the inside (not visible when worn). The pink stripes have bled very faintly onto the white stripes right near the side seam in a few places and the stripes are faded lighter at the shoulder on the right side. This is visible if you’re looking closely but not super noticeable when worn. There is also some yellowing at the armpit of the side with stripes. This might come out when it is cleaned. These issues did not show up when I tried to photograph them so I wanted to be sure to describe them accurately & have added some new photos.
Priced accordingly.
Color may vary from what is shown on your monitor. Best description of this color of pink is Pepto Bismol pink but with a hint of pink carnation in there too.
No size label in this so please go by the measurements.
