Leather is a wonderful material. Between its subtle, earthy aroma and its smooth texture, I’m kind of obsessed with it. (Why else would I have spent the better part of a decade working with it?) I also LOVE reading. So it was only natural that when I started my Sanitrade shop in 2014, I quickly started making leather bookmarks and haven’t stopped since.
What’s special about this bookmark? Glad you asked! It’s:
• Handmade from start to finish. I personally cut out, emboss, dye and/or paint, finish, and package every single bookmark that I sell.
• REAL leather at an affordable price. No vinyl, plastic, cloth, or “bonded leather” (the leather equivalent of plywood) here. This is the real stuff.
• Eco-friendly. I only use water-based stains and dyes, and the leather itself is tanned with natural plant-based extracts, so the environment isn’t harmed by harsh chemicals.
• Made to order. It’s easy to make additions or changes to your bookmark’s design – just send me a quick Sanitrade message before ordering to approve your desired customization. (Plus, there’s no additional charge for minor customization.)
• Absolutely beautiful and totally unique. There will never be another bookmark exactly like the one that you order.

A few notes:
This bookmark measures about 6″ long and 1″ wide, but might vary in length by half an inch or so.
All leather may stain objects if it gets wet. Because of this, you should always keep your bookmark high and dry. Your books will probably appreciate that as well! 🙂
Please note that the item that you receive may not be exactly as shown. These are handmade items, and each one is unique 🙂
Oh, by the way, if you aren’t 100% happy due to a problem with your bookmark, just send it back within 14 days of delivery and I’ll be happy to give you a refund or replacement.
