Have your very own faux antler headband custom made just for you.
Simple and easy to wear, these cuties will go with any outfit and make you feel like the lovely woodland creature you are.
What you choose when ordering:
-The height of your antlers.
-How many spikes you’d like them to have.
-What material you’d like them to be made with.
I start with a slim metal headband for the base and use light weight aluminum metal wire to shape the antlers. The antlers themselves are in fact bendable and can be reshaped as needed or for a desired look.
To add support to the antlers while wearing them, I do attach 2 hair combs to the piece. One on each side of the headband. For my smaller antlers heights of 2.5″,4″ and 6″ there is the option of getting them without the combs, as those are the only ones that are light enough to be supported without combs. I offer this choice as some of you out there might have hair that make using combs a bit difficult or if you have short hair or no hair the combs become completely visible and unnecessary. However I do highly recommend the combs if you plan on wearing these on top of a wig, so there will be no issue with them staying on at all times.
For the taller antlers heights of 8″ and 10″ I will only make them with combs and would actually recommend the 3 combs option. One on each side of the headband and one at the top for extra EXTRA support. This will help balance the antlers and evenly distribute the weight on your head while wearing. 12″ antlers will only be made using the 3 comb option.
Now these are actually 100% reversible, however my personal recommendation for wearing these beauties is actually to wear them combs facing forward. This way offers the best overall support to the piece and ensures they stay put on top of your lovely head. Seems sort of strange to do it this way (I know lol) but trust me, I have messed around with these a bunch and have found this way to be the most effective.
Have them wrapped in all natural hemp or jute twine for the look you desire. The hemp tends to make the antlers appear a bit more slim and sleek, where as the jute twine adds a nice rustic look and feel the the antlers. They are both actually quite similar in appearance from a far, it is more of your personal preference and what you’d like your piece to be made with.
Just as in nature, each set of antlers is completely different and unique. If you would like me to do something specific (such as have all the spikes facing a certain direction or a particular spacing between them) please let me know at the time of the order and I can do my best to accommodate that for you.
Please note that it can sometimes take up to 1 week for me to completely finish making your order, and then after that, depending on where you live, shipping domestically can sometimes take another week on top of that or even more if the post office has a mix up. If you are ordering from outside the US then shipping can sometimes take up to 3 weeks and there will not be tracking included. Remember to keep that in mind when ordering. So please order well enough in advance that there will no need for any kind of a rush. I do my best to get these out as quick as possible, but the more time you have between ordering the antlers and when you need to have them the better.
